The Binks Hub is a new research project at the University of Edinburgh
We’ll be working with communities to think, create, and research together. That means we want to hear from you – you are the experts on the challenges that affect your lives.
Why work with us?
Research is something that we all do every day – from looking up where to go out to eat, to deciding what to watch on Netflix, to perfecting your recipe for the perfect tablet. Research within a university is a more formalised version of this, which involves asking specific questions and setting out to find answers to them.
We’ll provide the training and tools for the communities we work with to be equal partners in our research. While some academic work can definitely feel too abstract and theoretical, we want to find ways to work together to produce research that leads to real-world, positive changes.
Using art, crafts, and other creative activities, we’ll work together to find new ways to tackle the challenges you face, and to make a difference to what life could look like in future.
